Furrow Magazine
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
Furrow accepts unpublished poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art, and comics by undergraduate students from anywhere in the U.S. We award $100 prizes to the top submission in each genre. We publish a professional-quality, full-color journal each May and feature new work each month on our website, www.furrowmag.org.
Selection is competitive, so please submit your best, most polished work. In our last issue, out of over 1,000 submissions from 41 states, we featured work from 44 student authors and artists.
To be eligible for publication in our next issue (May 2020), you've got to be enrolled as an undergraduate at any U.S. college or university during any semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. We will accept submissions from Dec. 1, 2019 to Feb. 20, 2020, and it helps us a lot if you don't wait till the last minute to submit.
Please leave your name off all pages/images. We judge submissions anonymously, so nobody can play favorites.
